Kit Construction Workshop Guidex 2009
If you are a beginner to building etched kits, sign up for the Etched Kit Construction Workshop. You will be working in a small group led by an experienced modeller, to begin the building of a wagon kit. In a two-hour session, you will have the opportunity to pick up the skills and gain experience in getting started with planning the construction, preparing the parts, and completing some soldered joints. The intention is not to finish the kit in that time, but to give you enough confidence to take it away and finish it yourself.
The kit is one from the Connoisseur Models range. These are considered to be good “starter” kits. Thanks to the cooperation of Connoisseur Models, these kits will be available to workshop participants for just £25, payable on the day. All necessary tools will be provided.
Workshop sessions will run from 11 am – 1 pm, and 2 – 4 pm, on the Saturday and 11 am – 1 pm on Sunday. The group size is limited to ensure that everyone gets plenty of attention, and it is “first come, first served”, so sign up early.

The Technical Committee is seeking an manager for the Modelling Competition for Guildex 2010 and onwards.
In conjunction with the committee, the manager is responsible for planning the competition, making arrangements for entries and voting on the day, and for promoting the modelling competition.
Active participation in other areas of the committee’s responsibilities will be welcomed. You should be a good organizer, with computer skills and access to email.

Please can members return outstanding Guild videos to me as soon as possible. Some have been outstanding for over a year!
Guild services are run by volunteers and failure to return videos means additional work and cost to ensure members wanting to hire Guild videos do not have to wait.
So please, please return any guild videos to me.
