Following three years of negotiaions, Birmingham MRC have finally been granted funding from The National Lottery. This much needed cash injection, will enable the club to secure the future of their club building.

The '0' gauge section of the Farnham & District MRC are having an open day on the May Bank Holiday (May 3rd 2010).
The Club layout "Weydon Road" and the '0' gauge test track will be up and running, Dave Smith will be running a Loco Clinic and Roxey Models will be in attendance.
Bring some stock and run it on the test track or on the layout, you are welcome to operate if you wish.
Entry will be £1.00 to help us cover the cost of the Hall Hire.

The finescale Railex exhibition is being held again at the second May bank holiday, showing in 0 gauge:
Dainton Bank, glorious sunny days with double headed Kings and Castles taking holiday makers to the West Country, along with humble freight trains with bankers hard at work to get them over the top.
Albion Quarry, which is located at the end of a now Freight Only branch off the ex-LNWR Bletchley-Oxford line. The layout depicts the end of the line at a Portland stone quarry.
Dinas - Blaenau, O-14 Gauge. Set in 1869 the station served the village of Rhiwbryfdir, a thriving community and the original upper terminus of the FR, in what evolved into the town of Blaenau Ffestiniog.
15 other layouts from S to 2mm scale. It is held at the Stoke Mandeville Stadium, Harvey Road, Aylesbury, Bucks, HP21 9PP. |

This year's Bold textLangley Show, the 24th presented by the West London Group, is now confirmed as Bold textSunday 31 October. This is a little earlier than usual to fit in with availability of our usual hall and to try to avoid other local shows of O Gauge interest.
The venue is Langley Community College, Langley Road, Langley, near Slough; admission times expected to be 10am to 4.30pm. This will be confirmed later along with other arrangements but expect the usual mix of layouts and traders, bring and buy, light refreshments and, of course, the test track including live steam.
